How did Lunch Menu Shop come about?

As a foodie my favourite past-time is lunch. For me there is something relaxing about that time of the day. It doesn't feel so hectic compared to the morning rush including the mess dinner brings to my home.
Best of all it is the best time to taste a meal from a local restaurants, café or pub due to the fact that the cost is far lower than dinner. Lunch time gives me a great perspective on the food quality and taste and quite frankly helps me decide if I would like to return for dinner and spend a little extra money.
I created LunchMenuShop.com (LMS) as a way to find out the best places to have eat during your lunch hours.
One of the things I was running into a lot at work while I was trying to decide where to eat, I was always muttering to myself or even asking friends or colleagues when it came time to join me for lunch is asking these famous words which I am sure you've been in the same position asking: "Where would you or I like to eat? Or what am I going to have for lunch today?"
Gaining access to a lunch menu was a bit annoying for me. When you visit a restaurants website most of the time you find their complete menu which I obviously didn’t need at the time. “I just want to see your Lunch Menu!”. Or when a restaurant sends me their menu by fax 7 out of 10 the pages were not clear or crooked , the price would be cut off or by the time I would remember to call which usually would be 20 to 15 minutes before the lunch rush (I admit it!) they were far too busy to send me an email in order for me to place an order.
QUESTION: Do wait staff or hosts have access to the internet at a restaurant? I’m curious…
So I though wouldn't it be nice if I can go to a place online and simply view different lunch menus for me to help me determine where to eat. And so LMS was born!

Who am I?

My name is Sherley; a mom of three in Montreal, Canada. I was recently laid-off from the print advertising industry and such a blow like this did two things to me. Got me down for a bit but than I pulled myself up, got out of Deadmonton, AB (no offense Edmontonians) moved back East to be close to family and decided to turn one of my hobby into something meaningful this year which is my passion for food.
As I am preparing in becoming the top Account Executive, I figured I needed to get back to this particular blog idea. I guess you can say I like to keep myself busy.
I love to share with people what is going on, discover new restaurants and eat delicious meals. LunchMenuShop.com helps me achieve my desire to help foodies like myself plus inform what's for lunch in your neighborhood.
I love to cook, I always experiment in my kitchen (my husband is always asking me what other concoction I have created) I love to try new recipes and tweak my own, This is a great avenue to exchange ideas.
